We offer advice and give opinions on non-litigious employment law matters and commercial matters with employment law implications, including compliance with the requirements of the Companies Act, No 71 of 2008.

 

We are able to assist with all aspects of corporate restructuring, particularly retrenchment, consultations with trade unions, severance packages and representation at the CCMA or bargaining council. Our experience also includes the transfer of a business as a going concern, managing the impact of a merger on employees and advice on regulatory obligations.

 

In terms of general employment issues, some of the areas of our particular expertise are disciplinary proceedings and performance management issues.
